For the past few weeks, I’ve been overcome with PlayStation 4 hype. I thought it took a bit of a hit when Watch Dogs got delayed, but it’s only been full steam ahead since I bought a DualShock 4. Since then, I haven’t been able to get the system out of my head.
With the launch just hours away, I don’t need to wait much longer. Sadly, it looks like Amazon Canada won’t ship it in time to match the November 15th launch date, but I’ll do my best to take it in stride. I’m busy that weekend with other plans and I’m still trying to wrap up Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time before officially jumping to next gen. Besides, in the grand scheme of things, I’ll have it by early next week and will only have missed one weekend of time with a system I’m likely going to have for many years to come.
For now, I’ve got my extra controller, Battlefield 4, a fresh 1-year subscription to PlayStation plus and a day off of work next Friday in anticipation for the PlayStation 4 era to finally begin. Still, it can’t begin soon enough.

This is pretty much where I am too. I haven’t been this excited about a launch in some time. I was excited for the Wii U, but it seemed like I was one of only a few people in my circle of online friends who was. But with the PS4 it’s totally different. I’m getting swept up in the hype (and generating plenty of my own). I can hardly wait.
