It’s days like today when I sometimes wish I had taken up a cheaper hobby. As excited as I am to get my hands on both Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it’s not easy for the average person to fit multiple new game purchases on the same day into their budget. Easing the pain a bit is the fact that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is coming out at a ‘discount’ price of $39.99, but I’m still looking at dropping $100 on two games in the next few days to sustain my video game addiction interest.
Anyone else besides me picking these up this week?
I don’t think that I will be getting them right now but I will eventually get to it. Until then I am looking in through the window 😦
I hear ya. It sucks to be looking through the window when it comes to new releases. Do you at least have anything in your cue to pass the time until you can pick up something new?
I have not started Uncharted 3 yet, I bought the explorer edition and over here in Australia, it set me back $190.00 and is the main reason I am pathetically broke right now. I am also really enjoying Dark Souls with a friend. That game put’s Skyrim’s combat to shame. What about you? Do you plan on playing both regularly?
Holy cow that’s expensive! Those go for less here, but I know gaming as a hobby in Australia is way more expensive than it is here. I’ll probably move on from Uncharted 3 once I’m done the single player, which is mainly what I play those games for. I’m on chapter 15, which is over half way through the game.
As for Dark Souls, I’ve never played a Souls game before. It looks really cool but from what I’ve heard about the game, it really doesn’t sound like something for me.
Well there is a learning curve in a Souls game but there is a great deal of satisfaction with every boss you conquer. That in itself is why I play the game and as for Uncharted 3, I will be coming back for the multiplayer after the SP. I played the beta in June and in October and must say that that game sports an amazing multiplayer component and the most fun is to be had in CO OP!
Also, don’t feel too bad for me, in Australia we get paid a lot here for an average job!
