Out Now: Gears of War 3

It’s time for Gears of War to finish the fight with the third installment of the series, which hits store shelves today. Will you be running out to stores this week to show those Locusts whose boss?

As a fan of the series, I’ll surely be picking this one up today. While I really enjoy Horde mode and am down to play some Team Deathmatch every now and then, I’m most excited to play through the single player mode. Granted, the story hasn’t always been great, but I’ve greatly enjoyed playing through the first two campaigns, shooting thousands of alien punks along the way.

With the Toronto Fighting Game Championships coming up this weekend, you may not want to hold your breath for a speedy review. However, I’m sure to play a ton of this in the next few weeks, so stay tuned! For now though, enjoy chainsawing aliens to bits!

I would love to buy this but I don’t have any money for XBLA online, and half the fun for me is always the online component so I will have to postpone this until I renew my membership but please don’t let me put a turd in the punch bowl, if you enjoy it then love it by all means love it. I am sure to enjoy this when I get the chance to renew my online and it will definitely be worth it. Enjoy the Toronto Fighting Game Championships Jett 😀

I’m not far into the single-player at all, but so far I’m pretty impressed. Surprisingly, the story element is much stronger at the very beginning than it ever was in the first two games.

      Thanks for the tournament encouragement!
