The suite on the 2st floor would be a hard act to follow. Steff and I were gushing about it on the elevator ride down to the 16th floor, where our final stop of the night was. Before going into it, this one was sort of doomed, due to it being on a lower floor and more expensive. However, the building has already made a great first impression and who knows what we’ll find behind this next door.

Apartment #6: The Also Ran
Still feeling the high from the last place, this one did little to top it. While it had the same general trim level, the layout was sorely lacking. Everything felt more cramped due to the tighter layout, less square footage, and lower ceilings. Worse yet, this one had a view directly facing a busy highway. Even if we had seen this one first, we probably would have been unimpressed.
Am I glad we went anyway? Absolutely. Viewing this place helped cement what we really wanted, which was the unit upstairs. Steff and I went home last night trying our best to play it cool and let our excitement simmer off before we made a decision, but that was easier said than done.
