Game-Breaking Glitch Stops Me From Finishing God of War II

After my initial lukewarm impressions on God of War II, I thought things were starting pick up. Some of my lingering quirks with the sequel in regards to déjà vu and ambiguous puzzles remained, but I was enjoying the game more after giving it a second chance. In light of my recent experience with the game, I will not be giving it any more chances.

I have an extremely low tolerance for game-breaking glitches, as I’ve noted on this blog in the past. In God of War II, I found myself in the scenario pictured below:

I was pretty far into the game, when I found myself in a scenario where I had to climb a wall. Making things difficult were these birds who were shooting fireballs at me. One hit of the fireball would knock me off the wall, forcing me to start over. As if this wasn’t frustrating enough, after one or two hits of the fireballs, the game and my system would lock up. This happened repeatedly with no real way for me to work around it. The picture above is a picture I took of my TV when the glitch happened last.

I’ll get around to playing God of War III, but I’m officially done God of War II. I’ve put in too much time into that game to scrap it all to play again in hopes that maybe it will magically fix itself.

It’s just a glitch, don’t let it spoil it for you! When I got Mass Effect 2 I lost over 4 hours of game save files because of that infamous launch day glitch, it was a joy to replay the 4 hours but that’s not the point, the point is that games are meant to be relived every once in a while and game breaking glitches are god’s way of saying “Your Welcome”. I’m sorry I felt like saying a joke today couldn’t resist.
Jett I can only beg you until my hands clench together, the skin on the corner of my lips sag like leather and my eyes stay permanently squinted as I live out the rest of my days on my bare knees unshifted (if you don’t get the joke try doing what I just listed above) please, please don’t let this slip between your fingers. I’m telling you the intro to the menu in God of War 3 recaps all the events of the past games. The second you put that game in you PS3 you will know the ending and the whole game will be spoiled! Think carefully now or you will wake up in the middle of the night realising what you have done to yourself and gaming as a whole. Okay now I’m just rambling.
You are supposed to go up to the flying creatures and press O so that Kratos throws them back at a near by nest then you are clear to continue climbing the wall. Please give it a go or at least look it up on youtube and see if you did something wrong but I am certain that what I said is what you are supposed to do in that certain scenario.
Think about it Jett, I urge you as a gamer not to neglect this masterpiece!
P.S Please add me on PSN VoteKratos :l
