Though I have traveled to hundreds of fictional video game worlds in my lifetime, traveling in real life has been far less frequent. I’ve only ever been on a plane once in my life, and I’ve only spent a total of one month out of my entire existence outside of my country. My lack of traveling has nothing to do with me being a video game nerd. However, it has everything to do with not having the time or resources to travel up until this point in time.
With that said, life is starting to stabilize for me. I’ve been working full-time for the last few years, which comes with the benefits of a steady income and paid vacation. In a matter of days, I’ll be enjoying the spoils of my ‘wealth’ with my girlfriend in London, England in just over a week from today.
I’m super hyped to soak in the entire London experience. We’ll probably be doing most of the tourist-type stuff, though we’ll likely have time to go off the beaten path and just explore. Some of the things I’m excited to see and do are to see some of the major royal landmarks, eat real fish & chips, cross Abbey Road and maybe, just maybe, run into Mr. Bean.
While I’m gone, I probably won’t have access to the Internet, and I definitely won’t get a chance to blog. Fear not, my friends. I’ll do my best to prepare and schedule a few posts for you while I’m gone. I don’t know what those posts are going to be about just yet, but I’m sure I’ll make it worth your while to keep coming back while I’m away! Once I come back and I’m settled in, I’ll try and sum up my experiences in another off-topic post or two.
Before I go though, I’d love to hear from you in regards to my trip. If you’ve been to London, England before, where should I go? What should I do? What should I eat? Sound off in the comments?
