Toronto Top Tiers – organizers behind T12, and Toryuken – are back! A few days ago, they announced the that they will be hosting T13, Toronto’s second major fighting game tournament of 2012; set to take place in October. This year, they’re planning on running 13(!) different games, which would make it the biggest tournament lineup I’ve ever seen. Click through for the full list of games, and some of my initial thoughts!
– Street Fighter x Tekken Solo (360)
– Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 (360)
– Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition (360)
– Mortal Kombat (PS3)
– Soul Calibur V (PS3)
– Persona 4: Arena (PS3)
– The King Of Fighters XIII (PS3)
– Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (PS3)
– Dead or Alive 5 (PS3)
– Virtua Fighter 5 (PS3)
– Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Plus (PS3)
– SkullGirls (PS3)
– Mystery Game (??)
This is an awesome-looking lineup, and if they have the space, and the people to run everything properly, this should be a blast. My last two major tournament experiences have been great, and I expect this to at least be just as hype.
Will I be there? Absolutely. I enjoy the experience of playing games in person with other members of the fighting game community. How far into the hyperbolic time chamber do I want to go as far as preparation? I really don’t know. I meant it when I said I wanted to take a break from competitive fighting game playing to pursue other interests. However, I don’t know if I could deal with getting bodied at a tournament, knowing that I could have trained harder. This is something I’ll have to put some thought into.
If you’re interested in learning more about T13, head over to Toronto Top Tiers for more info.

Dang we are just hearing about this now? Or am I late to the party? Not that I would attend but I’ll definitely follow it? Let us know when you have some info on available streams it would be cool to see the early P4A tech!!
It was announced on their website a few days ago, but sites like Shoryuken and Event Hubs haven’t picked it up yet. They probably won’t until Toronto Top Tiers starts putting out trailers featuring the US players that will be coming up for it. I would imagine that you’d find the stream here: http://www.twitch.tv/torontotoptiers
For whatever reason, the organizers have had me on their streams 3 times in the last 2 tournaments, and I’ve been bodied every time, so I’m kind of hoping they keep me off-camera this time 😛
