Just over a year ago, I reached the milestone of #1 ranked Rose player in Canada on Xbox Live. While this was met with no fanfare beyond any created by me, it’s still an accomplishment I hold near and dear. As someone who can still vividly remember losing 20+ straight matches online when I first started playing Street Fighter IV, it’s a testament to how far I can go in a game if I put in the time and effort to get better.
Though I haven’t played the game with much vigor (or much at all) in 2012, I just crossed another milestone.
As of Monday, January 20th, 2012, I became the #1 ranked Rose player in Canada on PSN. Though I haven’t been playing the game all that seriously of late, I have been playing it a bit more for a Splitkick guide I’ve been working on. Once I realized I was in striking distance, I decided to go for #1 in Canada in earnest.
This puts me at the top on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, which is crazy to me. After I finish writing the guide, I’ll probably take another break from the game, but it’s good to know that I’ve still got it.

Nice! That’s great, Jett.
I have no Rose skills, but I know she’s tough to master.
Thanks Jason!
In terms of learning curve, I’d say Rose is one of the easiest to learn. However, she’s mediocre when stacked up against the rest of the cast, many of whom have way better weapons at their disposal. So in that sense, yes, she’s tough. 🙂
