Best known for that one terrible rap song that was wildly popular – and to it’s credit for better or worse – probably more influential to the direction of modern music than I’d like to admit, Soulja Boy has entered the gaming industry with the SouljaGame Console and SouljaGame Handheld. Yes, both of these are real…to an extent.
One quick search on the shady retail site Ali Express and you’ll find the SouljaGame Console and SouljaGame Portable in their true, non-branded eumlator forms. Soulja Boy didn’t even bother putting his own branding on these devices or removing the existing branding already on there. He’s just buying emulator devices off of Ali Express and selling it at a premium because you’re buying it “directly” from the rapper.
Can’t knock the hustle too much. Sure, these emulator devices are illegal, but the game makers and console manufacturers aren’t cracking down hard enough to stop these devices from existing. On top of that, if you want to pay Soulja Boy a premium because it’s “from” Soulja Boy, be my guest. If you do plan on picking these up, let me know if they’re any good!
