Just beat Advance Wars again. This time on the Wii U Virtual Console. Holy cow that game is good. Even after all of these years, it still holds up as a brilliant turn-based strategy game. Hopefully its inclusion on the Wii U means that more people will get to continue to enjoy this underrated Nintendo classic!

Oh I agree. its not just awesome its “swearingly” awesome! That simple map alone you have a screenshot of has so much depth because of the combat. Holding cities, taking cities, bottlenecking bridges, hiding on mountains for a tactical advantage. Its such a simple fantastic game that I remember Amazon telling me all the time…. you’ll love it and I said LOLz cartoon game 4 kidz…. then 3 years later I finally played it and I was hooked for 2 or 3 years.
