Board Game Night Playlist: Small Games

For a market that was fixated on large games, Love Letter bucked the trend in a big way. Containing only 16 cards in a small satchel, it provided a great game that travels well and was cheap to purchase. Thanks to the success of Love Letter, the entire subset of small tabletop games is booming.

Choosing just three games for this list is a daunting task, as there are so many great games in this category. I will have to come back to this one in the future to cover more of them. For now though, here’s a trio of terrific tiny titles to consider for your next board game night!

Bad Beets Review

Dinner is served! Hope you like beets! No? Well too bad, you’re not leaving the table until you finish them all.

This is the start of Bad Beets, a card game in which players must get rid of all the beets from their plate before they can leave the dinner table. Board Games At Work, Part 2

Sushi GoEarly last year, I tried to start a weekly board game night at work with a few coworkers. There was a lot of interest from many coworkers, which led me to believe that this idea had a chance. Once work was over, the plan was to stick around and and play a few games in the lunch room. The first night was great, but it quickly dissolved due to lack of attendance. While I would have loved to have played more board games with my coworkers, it was clear that this wasn’t going to work out as envisioned.

Today, gaming is happening at the office again. This time, it’s different.
