While in the process of squashing a new audio de-sync issue that’s been going on with my stream of late, I give the latest hero in Overwatch Ashe a try! I really like what I’ve played so far to the point where I’ll heavily consider making her my main someday!
My Overwatch play is slightly above scrub-tier at best. However, every now and then I’ll have a standout performance or two worth sharing. One is with my current main Hanzo, and the other is with Ashe, who I think might usurp the archer as my go-to character going forward!
The storied-yet-dormant Samurai Shodown franchise is back! Recently revealed at Tokyo Game Show, the news of the franchise’s return got me to jump out of my chair. Uusual for me to elicit a response to a series that I’ve barely played and am horrible at.
I haven’t liked a Mortal Kombat game for a long time. I enjoyed the first one, thought the second one was the best and that the third one was a bit of a letdown. From there, I lost interest in the series when it shifted to 3D, added weapons and any other gimmicky stuff to keep the series fresh. To be fair, the Mortal Kombat games have always sold well, but the series hasn’t been relevant among hardcore fighting game fans or the mass audience in years.
Thankfully, the developers behind Mortal Kombat seem to be going the Street Fighter IV route by going back to what made the game great in the first place.
