March was a pretty big month for gaming. While the biggest news came from the North American release of the Nintendo 3DS, In Third Person talked almost exclusively about Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I’m sorry if the subject matter of my posts of late have been narrow, but I haven’t really been playing much else of late. Damn that game is good.
Based on the numbers, I’m not alone in my interest in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Many of my Marvel vs. Capcom 3 posts got a lot of traffic, some of which found their way onto this list. If you’re interested in seeing what the readers found hot in March, click through the break!

5. War of Eustrath: If You Like Fire Emblem, Try This
This post consistently near the top of the charts, months after the fact. What is it about this post that keeps people coming back? Is it simply the fact that there’s a huge demand for Fire Emblem-like games on the iPhone/iPad? Is it because not many people have talked about this game? Who knows. In any case, feel free to read my thoughts on this very good turn-based strategy game for the iPhone and iPad.

4. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood 1.03 Patch Does Not Fix Game-Breaking Glitch
Out of nowhere, this post surged to the top. I understand that the glitch affected a lot of people and that there was some confusion about what 1.03 did, but this is old news. This issue got patched out months ago. If you haven’t patched this game yet, hook your system up to the internet and you should be good.

3. How I Gave Up On Fight Night Round 4
The release of Fight Night Champion in March sparked a lot of interest in my Fight Night Round 4 posts. Unfortunately for EA, most people found my disappointment-filled post about one of Fight Night Round 4’s game-breaking glitches. I don’t know if the problem ever got patched out, because I traded in the game the moment it happened. Having put in many hours into the iPhone version of Fight Night Champion, I think I’ve gotten my boxing fix for the time being.

2. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Learning How to Not Suck
For a post that doesn’t actually say anything about how to not suck at Marvel vs. Capcom 3, it sure did get a lot of traffic. I get the impression that there are a lot of people in my shoes, who are finding the learning curve of the game to be fairly steep. While the game itself does a terrible job of teaching players how to actually play the game, there are at the very least, a ton of resources available to you online, like the post below.

1. The Team Mechanics of Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Between that last post and now, I’ve gotten notably better at the game. I’m still no Combofiend or Justin Wong, but I think I’ve learned enough to be of some value to anyone that cares to read. I actually wrote most of this post on my phone, while pushing a shopping cart around Costco. At the time, I was knee-deep into the team mechanics of the game and just felt like writing all of the things I was considering as I was making my own team. I’m hoping that the many people that read this post found value in it!
