Street Fighter V Officially Announced

Capcom recently released a teaser trailer for Street Fighter V. The YouTube video has been made private, but for the time being, you can check it out here on Daily Motion. Besides showing a few fleeting glimpses of Ryu and Chun-Li in action, the end of the trailer states that the game is exclusive to PlayStation 4 and PC.

Ahhhh!!! It’s happening! This not come as a surprise, as Capcom has dropped hints about the existence of a Street Fighter IV sequel for quite some time. However, I’m overjoyed for Capcom to finally let the cat out of the bag and give us our first look at a game that will inevitably destroy consume my life for years to come. This early footage looks awesome and I can’t wait to see more of it!

My only concern here is that the game is not coming out on the Xbox One, at least according to the trailer. Since I own all the systems, that’s not a problem for me. I only have an Xbox One fightstick, but Street Fighter is the ultimate justification for another one. Thinking beyond me, it’s a bummer that a bunch of Xbox One owners who are Street Fighter fans won’t get to play this. It’s still not clear if it’s a true exclusive or just a timed exclusive, but even getting left out in the cold for a period of time does suck.

All things considered, my hype levels are beyond measurable for this. Can’t wait to learn more!
