Escape Jeux: The Paris Airport Arcade

Getting to the airport was a scramble. Between sleeping in, our Uber taking its sweet time getting to our place, and somebody in our party who shall remain nameless having food in their carry-on, it was a chaotic end to what’s been a grueling trip. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had a wonderful time in London and Paris. However, our schedule was so jam-packed with activities that we’ve barely had any time to sleep. Any ambitions I may have had to play games or create content fell by the wayside as soon as I fell asleep while playing Reigns: Game of Thrones on the plane during our first flight. Not necessarily the fault of the game itself, but I do have my issues with it. More on that another day.

But our trip has now come to a screeching halt. With our flight delayed indefinitely as I write this, I’ve got some time to breathe. Before I try best to fall asleep in this chair though, let me share something cool from the boarding area of the airport!

Where the Grass is Green and the Girls Are Pretty

Burnout Paradise was a game I’ve had on my radar for quite some time. The series first caught my eye when I played the Burnout Revenge demo that came with my XBOX 360, which came with a really cool take down mode. However, the demo for Burnout Paradise left me skeptical. The sensation of going fast was intact, as well as the joy of wrecking other cars (as well as your own), but the demo didn’t really give me a sense of how the open-world structure of the game would work.

I may be two years too late, and the developers have added a ton of free and paid additional content to the game since I last tried it, but I recently got a copy of Burnout Paradise at the bargain basement price of $5 at a Blockbuster Video sale. Was this ticket to paradise well worth it?

Now Loading – Marvel Vs. Capcom 2

This fighting game needs no introduction, as many still hail it as one of the greatest fighting games of all-time.

To me though, I’m basically jumping in cold. Back when this hit the arcades, I was a bit too young for my parents to let me just go to the mall and hang out at the arcades. Also, during the few chances I got to play this game, I was destroyed by a pro every single time.
