For players who have pre-ordered Street Fighter V, the second beta starts today. It’ll start at 9PM EST tonight and end on Sunday, October 25th at 7PM EST. This new beta will feature PS4/PC cross-platform play and a more robust suite of online features. Most important for me is the completely different roster this time around. Ryu, Cammy, Chun-Li, Birdie, Nash and M. Bison will be taking a break, as Ken, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika, Rashid and Karin star in this go-around.
During the last beta, I missed much of it due to it falling on a previously-scheduled trip out of town. Luck isn’t on my side yet again, as I’ll be gone for the vast majority of it at a marriage course retreat. To compensate, I’ve booked Friday off of work so that I can binge on the beta as hard as I can before taking care of grown-up things. Making things even worse though is the fact that my building’s power will be out from 9am-1pm on Friday, as they’re installing new power cables into the building. My only real shot at this is to binge all night on Thursday, take a nap Friday morning, and play in the afternoon until it’s time to go to the wedding course.
Life complications aside, hopefully I’ll have a lot more Street Fighter V content on the site in the coming days and weeks, including Let’s Plays, combo videos and articles. Until then though, enjoy round two of the beta!
