First Impressions of the PlayStation Classic

Classic? Hardly. Panned by critics and gamers for falling well short of their expectations, the PlayStation Classic has failed to find an audience. Even after the price drops and promotions, these mini consoles continue to collect dust on store shelves.

But is the PlayStation Classic truly worth dodging at all costs? Once I saw the console on sale at 75% off its original retail price, I decided to buy one. Figured at that price, it’s at least a functional mini console with a few all-time greats, such as Final Fantasy VII and Metal Gear Solid. With greatly-reduced expectations and purchased at a price that won’t break the bank, I skim what it has to offer to see if the unit has any merit.

My Coworkers Get Their First Look at the Nintendo 3DS

Just like a child on show-and-tell day, I packed up my Nintendo 3DS and showed it off to my coworkers as soon as I could. As someone who works in the tech sector, I’m surrounded by like-minded individuals that love checking out the latest in technology. While I wasn’t trying to sell people on the device in particular, I definitely wanted to see their first impressions of glasses-free 3D.

Girlfriend Gaming – Hands-On With Kirby’s Epic Yarn

 

I fell in love with Kirby’s Epic Yarn from the moment I saw the debut trailer at E3. The art style and creative gameplay I saw in that trailer really wowed me. The moment after I saw that trailer, I sent pictures and videos over to my girlfriend, who I thought would love it just as much as I did. Turns out, I was wrong.

She had some concerns about how the art style would translate into gameplay. In particular, she thought that the fabric aesthetic might be gimmicky at best and detrimental at worst, especially since you can see through Kirby and many of the other characters. It’s been out for a while now, but we finally got a chance to play it for ourselves.
