Since we began supporting Extra Life in 2018, we’ve raised over $4,800 USD for the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals. For everyone who has supported the cause to-date, thank you!
We’re keeping the support going with our 4th annual Extra Life fundraising campaign! We’ve got a 24-hour marathon lined up, spray paint art rewards for donors, and more in store for this sprint to November 6th!
If you’re ready to donate, head over to my Extra Life page, make a donation, and get your rewards! If you want more detail on the upcoming events and activities, keep reading!
Throughout this year’s Extra Life campaign, I shared my thank you many times over for your outstanding support across every platform I appear on. Once the campaign ended though, I wasn’t done sending praise your way.
We’re all insanely exhausted, but it was all worth it!
Together, we raised $2,660 and counting! Thank you to everyone who has supported the campaign to-date, whether you made a donation, came to the house to play on the show, participated in any of the fundraising events leading up to the marathon, spread the word to others, or enjoyed any of these fundraisers as a viewer. All of our efforts will benefit the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals. Will work on a much bigger post with more detailed shoutouts when I have some time to recover.

On Saturday, November 7th at 9am EST, my family, friends, and I will embark on the Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon! It’s going to be amazing time where we play games together while fundraising for the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals.
Over the past two years, we’ve raised over$2,000 in support of the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals through Extra Life. With 2020 being the year that it is, our help is needed more than ever! This year, your donations will go towards the Children’s Hospital COVID-19 Impact Fund. In light of where things are in the world, it’s crucial that we step up and help the kids during these unprecedented times.
Thinking about hosting a charity stream? This video might help take that show to the next level! Having done a few charity streams now, I take a moment to share a few things I’ve learned to help make my charity streams a success. Hopefully these 9 tips will do the same for you!
As a heads-up, this video will serve as a “season finale” of sorts. My one month buffer of videos has officially depleted and some of the upcoming videos I want to make are going to require a bit more lead time. I really don’t want to be in a position where I’m scrambling every week to put out a less-than-stellar video in order to continue posting weekly. So I won’t.
Instead, the series is going to go on hiatus for a month or so while I tinker away in the background. Part of this next round of videos will include board game content, which I’m incredibly excited to bring into the fold. You’ll be the first to know when the videos are coming back. For now though, enjoy this one! And thank you to everyone who has watched any of these videos to-date! I appreciate your time and support.
Last week, myself and many others made the trip to SickKids Hospital in Toronto for the annual Extra Life Kick-Off party. It served as an opportunity for existing guild members to reconnect and for newcomers to learn how to get involved. Most importantly, it was an opportunity for all of us to reflect on why our fundraising efforts are so important.
Charming and Open is a blogging collaboration organized by Ian at Adventure Rules. Ask him a question and he’ll reply to it in a blog post. In exchange, he’ll ask you a question to answer on your blog. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, head over to Adventure Rules and shoot Ian a question! He wrote an amazing response to my question about his content creator bucket list, which you should check out here:
“What is something about your hobby as a content creator now that you really enjoy that either wasn’t possible or wasn’t something you thought you’d be interested in when you started out? Put another way, what is a new enjoyment that you have discovered about your hobby since you started blogging?”
Thank you for the question(s), Ian! When I read it back, I saw two unique questions that have their own sets of answers. I will rephrase and answer both. Let’s get it!
