Somewhat overlooked in the hype created by the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee reveals, Pokemon Quest was revealed and released on the eShop on the same night. As the latest spin-off game in the franchise, you venture off Tumblecube Island; a world where the land and its inhabitants exist in voxel-form. Based solely on the game’s free-to-play premise and quirky art direction, I was ready to outright dismiss this game without even giving it a shot. Many hours of gameplay later, and I’m glad I gave this a chance.

Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Review

Previously, Game Freak took us to the island-based Alolan region for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Before putting a bow on this era of the franchise, we put on our beachwear one more time explore Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Not having played Sun or Moon prior to this, I can’t really give you a sense of how different this new entry is in comparison.
Pokemon Master Trainer III (2005) Review
At a recent visit to Snakes and Lattes, my wife and I discovered the Pokemon Master Trainer Game from Milton Bradley. Apparently, this is the third edition of the game, the first of which came out in 1999. 2-4 players will go on a journey to prove that they’re the very best, like no one ever was.
Mewtwo is the Next Legendary Pokemon Coming to Pokemon Go!

First spotted as a level five raid boss as part of the Pokemon Go Stadium event in Japan, Mewtwo will be coming soon to raids worldwide! Despite receiving a nerf before its release, Mewtwo still appears to be a force to be reckoned with. However, it won’t come easy, as it’s being introduced as part of a new exclusive raid mechanic.
Pokemon Go: One Year Later

Exactly one year ago, Niantic and the Pokemon Company unleashed Pokemon Go onto the Earth. It became a supernova of a game that everyone was talking about and playing. Then, almost as quickly as it arrived, it fizzled out. While the game will never hit the highs of its early days, it still has a large and loyal following, including yours truly.
Snorlax Bean Bag Chair Review
At the height of Pokemon Go mania, ThinkGeek put up pre-orders on an exclusive Snorlax bean bag chair. In a moment of weakness/genius, Steff and I committed to bringing one home. Months later, it now sits in the corner of our living room. If you’re thinking about spicing up your decor with a Snorlax bean bag chair of your own, read my review!
Ditto Has Been Unleashed Into Pokemon Go
Omitted from the launch lineup of pokemon, Ditto has finally arrived in Pokemon Go! Making heavy use of its ability to transform, Ditto appears in the wild disguised as other pokemon. So far, it’s been reported that its usually disguised as either a Pidgey, Rattata, Zubat or Magikarp. When you catch it, only then will it reveal its true form. On the battlefield, it will transform into the first opponent it sees and stay that way until its defeated.

In anticipation of Pokemon X and Y, Jason guides the otherwise oblivious Bosscast crew through a discussion about Nintendo’s pocket monsters. Games Mentioned: Assorted Pokemon games, Grand Theft Auto V, Scribblenauts Unmasked, Pikmin 3, Rayman Origins, Rune Factory 4, Disney Infinity, Foul Play
Jett – In Third Person

Movember 2012 Special: More of Gaming’s Best Moustaches

On a whim last year, I decided to write a mildly humourous post about video game moustaches to help promote Movember, a movement in which men grow out their facial hair to raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer. To my surprise, it ended up being the second most visited post of all-time on In Third Person. I have no way of measuring this, but I hope that the original post somehow made a positive impact on Movember.
Thanks to the success of the original, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to revisit the subject. There are a ton of gaming moustaches worth talking about, so why not? If you’d like to partake or donate to Movember, check out the website for more information.
