Street Fighter V Beta Laura Impressions

Laura Matsuda is the older sister of Sean from Street Fighter III. They may be related by blood, though their fighting styles differ dramatically. While Sean is a shoto in training, Laura is a master of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Maybe he could have learned a thing or two from his big sister?

Street Fighter V Beta Vega Impressions

I’ve never been a Vega fan. Never liked his narcissistic attitude. Never liked playing as him. Definitely didn’t like fighting against him and his wall dive shenanigans. Going into the second beta knowing that my time with it would be short, I didn’t even have plans of using him.

But when the buzz started to build about how good Vega has become in the transition to Street Fighter V, I decided to try him out towards the end of my run. In hindsight, I should have placed him much higher on my priority list.

Street Fighter V Beta Necalli Impressions

Necalli’s barbaric fighting is unlike anything Street Fighter has ever seen before. Raw and animalistic, he scratches, stomps and throws opponents by their faces in ways that can’t be ignored. Just off of sheer looks alone, I think he’s the coolest character to watch in action so far. But behind the aggression, can Necalli brute force his way through his more refined competition?

Pick-Up Post: Star Wars X-Wing Millenium Falcon and Slave 1 Expansions

Star Wars X-Wing Millenium Falcon Slave 1

One of the biggest draws to Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures is the fact that it allows players to partake in an epic dogfight with ships from the Star Wars universe. The big caveat is that most of those ships are sold separately and the cost for creating fleets adds up quickly. After picking up the core set, I only bought one additional X-Wing so that our group could play 4-player games. The game made such a good first impression that I decided to fill out my fleets a bit more with two of the coolest ships in the galaxy.

Luxury Editions of Board Games

Ticket to Ride 10th Anniversary EditionWith higher trim level and an increased price to match, luxury editions of games aren’t meant for most. More often than not, the standard edition of a game will suit you just fine. However, a trend I’ve noticed since the release of the fancy 10th anniversary edition of Ticket to Ride is the growing number of designer games getting the tricked out treatment. As a proud owner of that particular luxury edition, I’m all for the release of other games in this manner.

Street Fighter V Beta Vega Combo Video

The iconic clawed combatant is one that I’ve loathed since his debut in Street Fighter II. Never liked playing him and always hated fighting against him. However, he appears to have turned a new leaf in Street Fighter V due to a myriad of changes to his character that I really dig. Not only am I a fan of this version of Vega, but he’s also one of my favourite characters in the game so far!

Street Fighter V Beta R. Mika Impressions

Having stood on the sidelines since her debut in Street Fighter Alpha 3, R. Mika returns in Street Fighter V. As a wrestler, her arsenal of moves would surely make Hulk Hogan proud. She also didn’t come to this fight alone, as her tag team partner Nadeshiko swoops in from time-to-time to lend a helping hand (or butt). Does she have what it takes to make a run at the championship belt?
