Street Fighter V: Devour Hour

When it comes to Street Fighter games, I’m no stranger to exploring the character select screen. While Rashid continues to be my main character in Street Fighter V, I’ve been spending a lot of time lately with Necalli. This ancient warrior who has the power to turn Super Saiyan immediately caught my attention with his animalistic fighting style. He’s not just cool looks though, as I’ve discovered that he’s a capable combatant that can shred his opposition to bits.

Street Fighter V Final Beta Necalli Matches and Impressions

Whether he’s lunging at you or throwing you by your face, Necalli fights with a raw and almost animalistic quality. If he gets in close, you’re in big trouble, as his combos and frame traps can lead to a ton of damage. However, he really struggles in a stand-up footsies battle, as his normal attacks are extremely short in range. I’ve had a blast every time I’ve played Street Fighter V with Necalli. Though I have yet to pick a main character, he’s definitely on the short list.

Street Fighter V Beta Necalli Matches Part 1

Whether he’s stomping on your feet or throwing you across the screen by your head, everything Necalli does is fierce. So fierce, he’d scare Tyra Banks. Sorry, couldn’t resist. Stubby normals aside, he’s a lot of fun to play as!

Street Fighter V Beta Necalli Combo Video

The Aztec warrior has been one of my most anticipated characters to play as in Street Fighter V. He’s a little more conventional than I thought he’d be, but I certainly found some fun uses for him within the context of this combo video. Get hype!

Dhalsim, Six DLC Characters and a Release Date Announced for Street Fighter V

Lots of big Street Fighter V news coming out of Paris Games Week. For starters, Capcom revealed Dhalsim as the latest character added to the playable roster. I’m generally not a fan of the Yoga master, but I love everything I’ve seen in the trailer, from his new look to the plethora of changes made to his arsenal. Definitely excited to give him a shot.

Covering Part 2 of the Street Fighter V Beta

I missed most of the Street Fighter V beta the first time around. After an epic fail of a launch, Capcom conveniently rescheduled the beta to fall on a weekend where I would be out of the province. Played as much as I could on the first and last days of the beta, but it certainly wasn’t ideal.

Hoping that I would be fully available for the second go-around, it clearly wasn’t meant to be. Capcom scheduled their four-day beta during a time when I would be away with Steff for a marriage retreat for three of those days. Also, during one of the periods where I could actually play, the power was scheduled to be shut off in my building. Once again, I made the most with the little time I had.

Brand New Character Named Necalli Revealed in Street Fighter V

At the Evolution Championship Series tournament, Capcom revealed the first original character for Street Fighter V. Named Necalli, which means battle in Aztec, he appears to be a very violent warrior with an almost animalistic approach to combat. So far, I’m thrilled with what Capcom has shown so far.
