Hooping it up as the Toronto Raptors against the Golden State Warriors. Kyle Lowry goes down with an injury, which I truly hope isn’t a sign of things to come for my favourite team.

My 2014 Holiday Wishlist

I’ve been told on many occasions that I’m horrible to shop for. Ever since I joined the workforce, I would go out of my way to purchase everything I ever wanted as soon as humanly possible. It’s part of the reason why I’ve been able to generate so much content for this site over the years.
This year’s a bit different. While I am not broke or unemployed, my financial situation is such that I can no longer maintain that lifestyle. As such, my wish list is a country mile long. I won’t share the whole thing in this post, but here are a few choice items from my wish list this year!
Next Gen Busts

Last summer, my excitement for the start of next gen with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One was at a fever pitch. It had been a long time since we’d made a technological leap and was anxiously looking forward to what the future would hold for gaming with these new machines. A year later, and both of them are basically just collecting dust on my shelf.
Titanfall Review

When Medal of Honor was at its peak, Jason West and Vince Zampella defected from that franchise to create Call of Duty. Clearly, this was a gamble that paid off, as their franchise continues to be the biggest cash cow in console gaming year-after-year. Years later, they would once again leave a great thing behind in search of making something even better. The end product of their latest move is Titanfall. Exclusive to Microsoft platforms, this first-person shooter states its case for being the next big thing.

Trials Fusion Review

Red Lynx’s brand of motorcycle stunt racing is a seemingly bottomless pit of enjoyment. With both Trials HD and Trials Evolution, I spent many hours thrashing through the easy courses, followed by rage-inducing grinds through the tougher ones. The core motorcycle gameplay is so good that you only really need more quality tracks and updated graphics to keep things fresh. Trials Fusion does just that, as it provides a whole new set of tracks to work through, as well as sharp visuals on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. However, it also introduces some logical new wrinkles to the mix, such as freestyle tricks.
Jett Plays Trials Fusion (Now With My Face!)
Got OBS and figured out how to do frames on my videos! Now you can see my face while I play through stuff! This is mostly a test, but expect more videos like this soon!
Killer Instinct Review
Meant to be a graphical showcase for Nintendo’s Ultra 64 hardware, the original Killer Instinct clearly prioritized style over substance. It’s rendered visuals were ahead of anything else at the time and its gameplay allowed players to pull off combos that routinely featured dozens of hits. For the most part, that was all it needed to be a success at the arcade and on the Super Nintendo.
With so many great fighting games out now and a community of players that is smarter than ever, it’s going to take more than pretty graphics, a loud announcer and flashy combos to make an impact. Luckily for us, Killer Instinct returns with some bite while retaining the essence of what made the original fun in the first place. Continue reading
Mad Catz Killer Instinct Arcade Fightstick TE 2 Review

Sporting a new and improved d-pad, The Xbox One controller is the most viable Microsoft controller for fighting games yet. However, for those who would prefer to fight the old-fashioned way, Mad Catz has you covered. If this was simply a standard Mad Catz Tournament Edition fightstick with new art, that would be great. However, they’ve gone the extra mile to evolve this fightstick to the point where this is their best one yet.
