In the grand scheme of things, I didn’t make it very far. However, I made it farther than I ever had before.

Jett Plays the Legend of Zelda on the NES Classic
We work our way through the first dungeon before ultimately getting lost in Hyrule.
Early Impressions of Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go mania is sweeping the planet and I am not immune to the madness. My background in the franchise is fairly limited, but I did beat Pokemon X, so I get the gist of what the core games in the series are about. Unlike those, this one uses the power of GPS and augmented reality to put you at the heart of the action. On paper, this should be the franchise in its ultimate form. So far, does the game look to be on track to meet or exceed the lofty expectations in front of it?
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor Review

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor had been sitting on my shelf for almost a year before finally giving it an honest try. Despite the game’s critical acclaim, I had a hard time putting it over other games in my queue due to my disinterest in the Lord of the Rings. As it turns out, the game doesn’t require a background in J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic to be enjoyed. Also, it’s awesome.
Jett Plays: Arkham Knight
Working through some side missions so that I won’t spoil the story for you!
The Walking Dead Season 2 Review

Telltale’s first season of The Walking Dead is a hard act to follow. It was an evolution of the Heavy Rain style of game, a revolution in terms of episodic content, and a game so emotionally charged that it routinely caused me to gasp, yell at my television and shed tears. It was by no means perfect, but it’s a game that shook me to the core in a way that I’ll cherish forever.
With The Walking Dead: Season 2, Telltale Games cleans up a number of design and technical issues that plagued the first game to deliver an ultimately smoother experience from a gameplay standpoint. But the real question is, can this new season deliver the feels like its predecessor?
The Walking Dead: Season 2 – Episode 3: In Harm’s Way Review

Carver is a messed up dude. While the concept of overlords is not new to The Walking Dead universe, Carver’s twisted brand of compassion separates him from similar figureheads. Some are able to see through his front, but a surprising number of his captives have clearly binged on his Kool-Aid. With Clem and the other survivors now captive in his compound, they must find a way to escape without getting lulled into a false sense of security.
Strider Impressions
![]()
Strider to me is the cool ninja guy in the Marvel vs. Capcom games. Sure, I know he has his roots in manga as well as in his own 2D side-scrolling action games, but I’ve never actually played them before. I didn’t come across a Strider game in my lifetime until I picked up an NES copy of the original game a few months ago. With the reboot of Strider on modern consoles, this is really my first crack at Capcom’s brand of 2D side-scrolling ninja action.
Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies Review

In Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, gaming’s favorite lawyer returns to a court of law that’s in shambles. For one, Courtroom #4 has just been decimated by a bomb that went off mid-trial. Worse yet, the reputation of the entire justice system has been destroyed by years of poor conduct from prosecutors and attorneys. In this “Dark Age of the Law”, forging evidence has become a common practice by those looking to get ahead. While Phoenix’s goal of defending his clients hasn’t changed, he also aims to put an end to this fraudulent era of justice by proving that the truth always prevails.
The Walking Dead: Season 2 – Episode 2: A House Divided Review

Clem is no longer alone, but that doesn’t mean she’s out of trouble. A House Divided picks up right where things left off, as she and Pete are being pursued by a pack of walkers. From there, the complications that come with company become increasingly apparent.
