Check Out My Mark of the Ninja Review on Splitkick

Released outside of the regular XBOX Live Arcade schedule, and with virtually no marketing, Mark of the Ninja was the talk of the town for a total of one day when the glowing launch-day reviews hit. If it weren’t for those, I wouldn’t have even know this game existed.

I’m so glad to have played it, because it is fantastic. As a guy who hates stealth games, that says a whole lot.

Check Out My Persona 4 Arena Review on Splitkick.com

Arc System Works, and Atlus are poised to take the fighting game community by storm with their fighting game spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona franchise. Persona 4 Arena has already built up a ton of buzz in the community, and it would  not surprise me in the least to see this game become a tournament staple over the next few months.

As someone who has 0 interest in the RPG, and as someone who has a history of sucking at Arc System Works’ previous fighting game efforts, I approached Persona 4 Arena with a bit of caution. Having just reviewed it for Splitkick, it’s good to know first-hand that my concerns did not come to fruition. If you want to read my full review for it, head over to Splitkick and check it out now!

Check Out My “Cure for the Summertime Blues” Now on Splitkick

It has been a slow summer for new releases. Instead of twiddling my thumbs, waiting for Borderlands 2 to ruin my life, I’ve been playing a bunch of backlog titles. Though some of these have been duds, I’ve played some awesome titles that I would have missed if I was jumping from one hot new release to the next.

In my latest Splitkick article, I highlight a few of these bright spots I’ve come across, such as Bullestorm, Trine 2, and Asura’s Wrath. If you’re interested in learning more about these titles, how I’m working through these slow summer months, or want to discuss how you’re spending your summer gaming time, head over to Splitkick!

Check Out My Kid Icarus: Uprising Review on Splitkick.com

Apologies for the long delay, but my review for Kid Icarus: Uprising is finally live on Splitkick! It took me awhile to play through because of its surprisingly long length, and a really long time to write. I struggled with it for weeks, and wrote three completely different versions of the review before finally settling on one to submit for edit.

Thanks to the team at Splitkick for editing, and publishing the piece, as its a game I want to encourage others to try, even with its fundamental flaws. If you’re still on the fence about it, check out my review at Splitkick.
