Need help building decks in the Pokemon Trading Card Game? There are a lot of great sources for deck lists out there if you know where to look! In this video, I show a number of different sources for deck lists that have performed well in tournaments, as well as hot new deck lists from Japan!
Theme battles were the most popular way for players to battle in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online. However, they stopped adding new decks at the end of 2020 and Pokemon Trading Card Game Live doesn’t have a theme battle option at all. Will theme battles ever return? I share my thoughts!
Not all decks are as easy to play as others. Which are the easiest Pokemon Trading Card Game decks to play right now? And what are the hardest? I rank meta decks and League Battle Decks in a difficulty tier-list!
In many ways, Rashid is a key figure in Street Fighter V. He’s the main character in the game’s story mode. He’s also one of the most used characters in tournament play. Regardless of his stature within the game and within the tournament scene don’t translate to his overall popularity or usage amongst the overall player base.
During one of my recent live streams, I brought up the topic of who is good/bad in Pocket Rumble. I am no expert at this game, but we went through the roster to have a casual discussion about the tier list. Who do you think is top-tier and who do you think is trash? Maybe at some point, I would consider writing a formal tier list someday!
Achieving perfect balance in a fighting game is essentially an impossible task. As long as a fighting game features unique character designs, there’s always going to be instances of certain characters seemingly being better than others. Still, the closer we can get to the equilibrium, the better the game will be, as players want a game where every character is a viable option.
A few months into Dragon Ball FighterZ and we’re now getting a clear idea of who is good and who isn’t. At this point, about 1/3 of the cast basically isn’t in the game, whether you track usage among online players or in tournament play. If you want to get more cynical, there are borderline characters like Gotenks, Piccolo, and Captain Ginyu that may not be worth the effort, either. There’s still much work to be done in order to get these characters to the next level.
Now that we have a better understanding of how the game works, let’s analyze some of the bottom tier characters in terms of why they currently suck and how they could get better in the future.
Before I begin, I wanted to preface all of this by saying that tier lists are somewhat overrated.
I am strongly of the belief that the vast majority of the time, player skill will overcome placement on a tier-list. The only time a tier list really matters is when both players have reached the skill ceiling of the game. Even then, the best players will find ways to overcome any obstacle.
Having said that, it’s always fun to have the discussion of where characters are ranked. Below is my tier-list, which is by no means meant to be the definitive word on how good these characters are in relation to one another. Just one voice among many. Check it out!
