Top 5 Kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey
![]()
Part of what makes Super Mario Odyssey so great is that it takes Mario through a slew of foreign lands. Each Kingdom has a life of its own, from its unique art style, to the adventures that our portly plumber will embark on. Here’s a list of my favourites!
NOTE: If you’re sensitive to spoilers, come back later when you’ve completed the game!
Cowabunga! The Ninja Turtles Are Coming to Injustice 2!
What?!?!?!
The latest addition to the Injustice 2 roster is one that caught me by surprise. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to Injustice 2 and it’s heavily implied that they’ll play as one character.
First off, I love it. The Ninja Turtles started out in the world of comics, and they somewhat recently crossed over into the DC Universe with Batman, so this isn’t completely out of line. Having not played as the Ninja Turtles in a fighting game since the surprisingly good Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters, I look forward to playing as them when I eventually get a copy. That said, I’m very curious to see how NetherRealm incorporates the four characters into one. Is there stance-switching between the four? Is one character the main and the others come out as assists or as part of specific special move animations? We’ll find out soon enough!

Out Now: The Xbox One X
Looking to regain its footing in the console space, Microsoft unleashes the Xbox One X today. This may not be a full refresh of the Xbox One platform, but the power jump is enough to make it the most powerful console on the market to-date.
Having seen the unit in action at Fan Expo earlier this year, the console is small, sleek, and packs one heck of a graphical punch. However, its benefits still don’t provide the leap we’ve seen in the past. At this point, it appears that we’ve reached the point of diminishing returns when it comes to graphical leaps.
Furthermore, that price tag is steep. At $500 US, it’s a tough bullet to bite relative to what you’re getting. Nonetheless, I do hope that this could be the kick in the pants that gets the Xbox back on track. Coming off of the Xbox 360, Microsoft has gone out of their way to undermine all of their success with a plethora of poor decisions that has compromised their platform. Having them as a more viable player in the scene would only make the entire market as a whole better!

The Mario Kart series got better with time, but there’s always value in going back to the original.
Super Mario Odyssey Review
Mario has seemingly traveled everywhere. He’s ventured through the Mushroom Kingdom on numerous occasions, explored the fever dream world of Subcon in Super Mario Bros. 2, and even trekked through space more than once. Where else is there for Nintendo’s plucky plumber to go? The Big N’s answer to this conundrum can be found in Super Mario Odyssey.
This Narrative About ARMS Being a Flop Needs to Stop

I’ll be the first to admit that I like ARMS more than most. It dominated my summer as I fought my way up to the highest ranks, and even earned a spot as a finalist in a tournament earlier this year. That said, I’ve seen more than my fair share of criticism about the game from around the web, attacking its perceived lack of content, shallow gameplay, and slow rollout of updates. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on those matters and I respect that.
What does bother me though is this narrative that ARMS is a sales flop. Despite having sold 1.35 million units and counting, some want to use that information as proof that the game has failed to meet expectations. While it may not stack up to the heavy hitters on the Switch, especially in light of Super Mario Odyssey selling a whopping 2 million copies in 3 days, I think that people using that 1.35 million units sold tally are looking at it from the wrong perspective.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Gamora Gun Loop Tutorial
When I first got Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, one of the first things to catch my eye was Gamora’s gun loops. After a few weeks of practice and research, I finally got one variation down and decided to make a tutorial video to teach others how to do it. If you’re hoping to add the gun loop to your arsenal, check this out!
