While these two smash hits do not appear on this 30-game compilation, almost everything else in their catalogue is here, from Jet Pac to Viva Pinata 2. And for the price of $30, this appears to be an amazing value on paper. Does the package deliver on its promise?

Backed by an army of soldiers, vehicles, a mysterious new adversary, and enough chemicals to corrupt the entire eastern seaboard, Bruce Wayne really has his hands full this time. With the stakes being higher than ever, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. are hoping that Batman: Arkham Knight is the biggest and best Batman game to-date.

For Canadian gamers, E3 season is the most wonderful time of the year. Besides getting all of the news on upcoming games, Canadian retailers often put on great deals for pre-ordering games that are featured at the event. This year, Amazon stole the show with a whopping 30% off when you pre-order three or more games. Needless to say, my shopping cart ended with way more than that. Here’s what I got!
All Ajay wanted to do was fulfill his deceased mother’s final wish of having her ashes spread on her home soil. Instead, he gets tangled up in a bloody civil war that forces him to take arms against the evil empire. This is the underlying premise of Far Cry 4, the latest in Ubisoft’s hit shooter franchise.
I’ve experienced my fair share of unpleasant moments with past Far Cry games. The stealth sequences in Far Cry 3 forced me to give up the game towards the end, and I thought that the humour of Blood Dragon wore out its welcome long before the game ended. However, I keep coming back in hopes that Ubisoft will finally push their open world franchise to its full potential. Is Far Cry 4 the game to do it?
After mining World War II for everything it had to offer, Call of Duty got a huge boost by moving into the modern era. Years later, in a time where present-day warfare feels like old hat, the franchise moves again to the only logical next step: the future. Sure, for those keeping score, Black Ops II was a half-step in this direction, though Advanced Warfare leaves all semblance of the present behind with futuristic guns, gear, and movement options that represent the most dramatic change to the core formula. Can Activision score another touchdown off of the same era-switching play?
Aside from Madden, the NBA 2K dynasty is one of the most impressive in video game sports series. They’ve been so dominant that EA Sports went as far as to cancel two years worth of of their basketball games that they felt couldn’t hold their own against the champ. Last year, 2K14 got a graphical shot in the arm thanks to the transition over to the more powerful hardware. Now that the sizzle of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has cooled, is there enough in this year’s package to justify a return trip to the hardwood?
The original Peggle caught lightning in a bottle. For a game with such a simple premise, it executed on its Pachinko-like vision perfectly. It immediately became a staple on my iPod Touch and one that I could always come back to. Hoping that PopCap Games would recapture that magic with a sequel is probably a bit unreasonable. However, I was also expecting more out of a game called Peggle 2 than what’s contained here.
Telltale’s first season of The Walking Dead is a hard act to follow. It was an evolution of the Heavy Rain style of game, a revolution in terms of episodic content, and a game so emotionally charged that it routinely caused me to gasp, yell at my television and shed tears. It was by no means perfect, but it’s a game that shook me to the core in a way that I’ll cherish forever.
With The Walking Dead: Season 2, Telltale Games cleans up a number of design and technical issues that plagued the first game to deliver an ultimately smoother experience from a gameplay standpoint. But the real question is, can this new season deliver the feels like its predecessor?
