SteamWorld Quest Review

Off the strength of two stellar SteamWorld Dig games and the excellent SteamWorld Heist, Image & Form have proven themselves as a developer worthy of my attention. I’m willing to give them a chance on whatever they put out.

Put that line of thinking to the test when I finally got around to SteamWorld Quest. This time, the talented studio tries their hand at creating a turn-based JRPG with a card battling system. Does Image & Form continue its hot streak?

A Nod to Image & Form, the Makers of the SteamWorld Series

Having just purchased a Humble Bundle, my friend JJ found himself with an extra copy of SteamWorld Dig on the Nintendo 3DS. He was gracious enough to offer me the code. Then I forgot a out it for awhile.

Eventually, I found myself sitting on a train to Montreal with nothing to do. Firing up SteamWorld Dig for the first time, time melted away as I tore through their brilliant take on the Metroidvania genre. As the train pulled into Montreal, I was actually mad that I didn’t have a few extra minutes to wrap things up.

Thus began my love affair with Image & Form, the brilliant minds behind the SteamWorld series.

6 Games to Play in My Backlog if I Ever Stop Playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons

As soon as I pay off the final installment of my mortgage, I think I can finally ease off of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Sure, there’s still my house and a whole island to decorate. I also have no plans on exiting the turnip market. However, I can probably let go of my daily runs for fish, bugs, and wood.

What’s next on the queue? Not exactly sure, but I’ve got a bunch of games to work with!
