A new entrant in the Street Fighter V series, Rashid relies heavily on keeping his foes off balance with a barrage of tricky special moves and mix-ups. Does he have what it takes to blow you away?

Gaming and the Weak Canadian Dollar
A few years ago, the Canadian dollar began taking a tumble in terms of value. I’m not going to try and explain why, as the economics behind the values of each currency mystify me. However, it’s impact on video games has been abundantly clear. For a good stretch of time, the standard price of a disc-based game was $60. Last year, that crept up to $70. Now, $80 is the new norm. This might not even be the end of the increases, as the Canadian dollar shows no signs of improving in the immediate future.
Street Fighter V Beta Rashid Impressions
Entering the fray for the first time is Rashid. A naturally agile guy whose abilities are boosted by the technology in his backpack, he attacks with an assortment of flying kicks and tornado-based attacks. Does he have what it takes to blow away the competition?
Dhalsim, Six DLC Characters and a Release Date Announced for Street Fighter V

Lots of big Street Fighter V news coming out of Paris Games Week. For starters, Capcom revealed Dhalsim as the latest character added to the playable roster. I’m generally not a fan of the Yoga master, but I love everything I’ve seen in the trailer, from his new look to the plethora of changes made to his arsenal. Definitely excited to give him a shot.
Covering Part 2 of the Street Fighter V Beta

I missed most of the Street Fighter V beta the first time around. After an epic fail of a launch, Capcom conveniently rescheduled the beta to fall on a weekend where I would be out of the province. Played as much as I could on the first and last days of the beta, but it certainly wasn’t ideal.
Hoping that I would be fully available for the second go-around, it clearly wasn’t meant to be. Capcom scheduled their four-day beta during a time when I would be away with Steff for a marriage retreat for three of those days. Also, during one of the periods where I could actually play, the power was scheduled to be shut off in my building. Once again, I made the most with the little time I had.
Street Fighter V Beta R. Mika Combo Video
At her core, R. Mika is a grappler, which generally means her combo potential isn’t as high as some of her peers. That said, she still has some tools to string together some hits for big damage, especially with her tag team partner diving in as part of her V-Trigger. Check it out!
Street Fighter V Beta Impressions Part 3: Ryu

Ryu is widely recognized as not only the face of Street Fighter, but as the face for the entire genre of fighting games. However, he serves a much greater purpose as the standard character within the Street Fighter games he appears in. At his best, he has all of the tools a newcomer would need to get an overall feel for the game before moving onto different characters. That said, if you choose to stick with the iconic martial artist, you should be able to hold your own against anyone else in the cast. Does he continue to fill that role in Street Fighter V?
I’m Going to Fan Expo 2015!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Toronto fans of all things nerdy, as Fan Expo Canada returns! If memory serves me correctly, this will be my 6th time going to the show. Here’s what I’m excited for this year!
Ultra Street Fighter IV jettFTW (Rose) vs. Smug (Dudley)
Widely recognized as the best Dudley player in the world and one of the best overall in Ultra Street Fighter IV, I have my hands full against Smug. Clearly I’m in over my head in this set of four matches, but do I have enough to not completely get embarrassed?
Analyzing the ICv2 Board Game and Card Game Sales Charts for Q1 2015
I recently discovered the phenomenal work of ICv2. They do a tremendous job of covering the business side of geeky things, such as board games and comic books. One of the things that caught my eye in particular are their board game sales charts. While their list may not be perfect, it’s probably as close as we’ll realistically get to how these games are performing compared to one another. Let’s take a peek at their list of best selling board games and card games of spring 2015!
