Who else was surprised that Sony named their new console the PlayStation 5?
Kidding! Though we didn’t need Nostradamus to predict that, Sony did reveal a lot of new info regarding their latest console during their recent event. This assortment of notes is by no means comprehensive or in chronological order, but I thought were worth sharing anyway.
First revealed at the 2018 Game Awards, Mortal Kombat 11 had its big coming out party at a January 17th event. We got our first real glimpse at its gameplay, expanded variation system, story prologue, and more! With the console’s projected release just a few months away, fans have been anxiously awaiting for any sliver of concrete information about the Nintendo NX. Yesterday, we got more than just that. We got a name, saw the console, saw its key selling points and more. How does it fare at first glance?
My experience with R Mika in Street Fighter Alpha 3 is largely non-existent. However, it wasn’t hard to see the enthusiasm that people have for her, as many fans for years have been clamoring for the wrestler to return. Finally, she has, as the newest member of the Street Fighter V roster. Never cared much before, but holy cow do I care now.
At the Evolution Championship Series tournament, Capcom revealed the first original character for Street Fighter V. Named Necalli, which means battle in Aztec, he appears to be a very violent warrior with an almost animalistic approach to combat. So far, I’m thrilled with what Capcom has shown so far.
