Skylanders Giants Review

Size matters, or at least that’s what Activision wants us to believe with Skylanders Giants, the follow-up to the smash-hit Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Besides providing gamers with an all-new adventure, some new characters and new figures, it also introduces the concept of giant Skylanders, which are larger figurines that manifest into larger in-game characters. But does the age old ‘bigger is better’ adage apply here?

The Recurring Bosscast: 008 – Hawk and Awe

Underneath My Christmas Tree: 2012 Gaming Edition

Merry belated Christmas! Hope your holidays are going great!

As I’ve gotten older, the focal point of Christmas has shifted from receiving to giving. I’m sure that once I have children of my own, that focus will shift even more. Activision Announces Skylanders Giants

Though the game is but a few months old and the toys are incredibly difficult to find, Activision felt that yesterday was the perfect day to reveal the sequel to Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure. Titled Skylanders Giants, this full-blown sequel will feature new levels, compatibility with all of your current figures and of course, all-new figures for you to buy. In particular, the inclusion of 8 “giant” figures that are twice the size of regular Skylanders in the game and in real life strikes me as an interesting addition.
