Located just steps away from Drake’s upcoming Toronto mansion, Sunnybrook Park is located in an upscale neighbourhood. Besides being home to picnic areas, it also features a world class cricket field and a horse stable. Though I’ve lived in the Greater Toronto Area for my entire life, I did not set foot in this park until it became one of the hottest nests in the city.
Technical Issues Mar the Console Ports of XCOM 2
Judged solely on its gameplay alone, XCOM 2 is a wonderful addition to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One lineups. Building off the success of the original, this game improves on its predecessor in almost every conceivable way. Unfortunately, some glaring technical issues make this game really hard to recommend if you have the ability to play it on PC.
Dr. Eureka Review
Throw on your lab coat and get ready to science it up with Dr. Eureka. In this two-to-four player dexterity game, players will race against each other to create specific formulas with their three test tubes and three different chemicals. You don’t need your PhD in chemistry to excel, but this deceptively simple tabletop game is entertaining while making you feel like a scientist at work.
Pokemon Go Player’s Guide to Toronto: Moss Park
Located just east of the downtown core, Moss Park was once the industrial heart of Toronto. In the 1960s, work began to convert this area into housing project with a large park and community centre. Today, the community centre is still there, along with a baseball diamond and tennis courts.
While the Moss Park Armoury resides just east of the park, it’s not exactly a tourist attraction. Heck, many locals actively avoid the park, as it has a reputation of being one of the sketchiest areas in the city. However, if you’re an active Pokemon Go player, you might want to bring a friend in the day time and take advantage of one of the most active nests in the area.
Babylon Review
Ever since they hit the scene and became a smash hit, micro games have been all the rage in the tabletop gaming space. Oftentimes, these games are highly portable, appealing to players of all skill levels, quick to play and highly addictive. Many years before this movement existed in earnest, famed designer Bruno Faudutti released Babylon. Using only 12 pieces, this is a two-player game that only takes about a minute to finish. Is there enough of a game here to keep players interested for the long haul?
Out Now: XCOM 2 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Despite my adoration for its predecessor, XCOM 2 has slipped my mind a few times now. When it was first announced as a PC-exclusive, I whined about that fact on this blog and then forgot about it. While out on honeymoon in Hawaii, I was surprised to see console versions of the games available for pre-order. After that, the game fell out of my consciousness until it showed up in the mail just now.

A Prophecy of Dragons is the 2nd expansion to T.I.M.E Stories. After jaunts through an asylum and a zombie-infested city, your team is warped out into an alternate universe during their medieval time to stop a rift in time from destroying the space-time continuum.

The Marcy Case is the first expansion for the co-operative adventure board game T.I.M.E Stories. As with the base game, you travel through time with the job of protecting the space-time continuum, which is no easy feat. This time, you’re sent off to 1992, where a mysterious disease is turning people in a particular city into zombie-like creatures.
Pokemon Go Player’s Guide to Toronto: Nathan Phillips Square
Attracting nearly 1.5 million visitors every year, Nathan Phillips Square is Canada’s largest city square. As a tourist, you’ll want to come by and see our unique city hall building to the north, which was actually featured in the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Getting your picture in front of the now-iconic Toronto sign should also be in your list of to-dos. If you’re there in the winter, bring a pair of skates, as the pond is frozen over for skating.
As a Pokemon Go player, it’s also a solid, and quite possibly underrated, place to visit.
