Get the most out of your Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite team with these tips!

The Marvel vs. Capcom series is one built around the concept of team synergy. You’re able to get the most out of the game if you’re able to operate your team as one cohesive unit. Having said that, the game itself doesn’t immediately make it clear what team synergy is. On top of that, the concept of team synergy has changed a few times as the series has evolved.

During my struggles of trying to formulate my own team, I’ve made the following observations about aspects to make note of when you’re trying to polish your team dynamics. Hope these help you out!

Zeku Revealed in Street Fighter V

Capcom has unveiled the final season 2 DLC character and his name is Zeku. Last seen as an NPC in one of Guy’s endings in the Street Fighter Alpha series, he brings with him a handful of Guy’s signature attacks, as well as a few tricks of his own. In particular, make note of Zeku’s long-ranged sweeping kicks.

I’m…a bit disappointed in this reveal. Maybe my expectations were too high, as I’ve followed the rumors for months and expected more out of an evolution of Guy’s play style. This looks a bit too samey in terms of how he fights in comparison to Guy, as well as how similar his play style is relative to the rest of the cast.

Nevertheless, he may surprise me when he’s released at the end of the month. Fingers crossed!

ARMS v3.0 Tier List

Before I begin, I wanted to preface all of this by saying that tier lists are somewhat overrated.

I am strongly of the belief that the vast majority of the time, player skill will overcome placement on a tier-list. The only time a tier list really matters is when both players have reached the skill ceiling of the game. Even then, the best players will find ways to overcome any obstacle.

Having said that, it’s always fun to have the discussion of where characters are ranked. Below is my tier-list, which is by no means meant to be the definitive word on how good these characters are in relation to one another. Just one voice among many. Check it out!

Capcom’s Comedy of Fighting Game Missteps

I consider myself to be a massive fan of Capcom fighting games. I’ve poured in thousands of hours into everything they’ve put out since Street Fighter IV, and was a always a fan of Street Fighter II. However, it’s gotten increasingly hard to ignore the calamity of errors that follow every fighting game release. Let’s run through a bunch of them from the last few years, shall we?

Super NES Classic Review

The NES Classic is a novelty time capsule of gaming during the 1980s. Yes, there are some all-time classics on there, but most of those games haven’t aged well. The same cannot be said about the Super NES Classic. This cute mini console packs a punch with a 20-game lineup that is not only some of the best the SNES could offer, but many of these titles are still glorious gaming experiences today.

On paper, this should be a home run. Does the package as a whole live up to its incredibly high expectations?

Kickstart Guide to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

The fate of two worlds rests on your shoulders in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite! This tag team fighter may be more streamlined compared to its predecessors, but it’s still one of the toughest fighters to learn due to its lighting pace and the complexity that comes with managing multiple characters at once. While the in-game teaching tools are awful, don’t let that stop you from enjoying a really solid fighter. Try these tips on for size!
