The Recurring Bosscast: 008 – Hawk and Awe

Mat returns from a press-only Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance event and shares his stories of slicing, dicing, and dying repeatedly. Jason and Jett talk way too much about who they think are top-tier Skylanders. The Bosscast also open up their hearts to talk about the role of emotional response in video games. Beyond that, tune in for chatter about Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Street Fighter X Tekken Version 2013, Sleeping Dogs, Balloon Fight, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and Sneak King!

The Recurring Bosscast: 006 – 50 Shades of Wonderbook

The Bosscast returns with socks, scarves, and a sleigh full of video games to talk about! Tune in as Jason gushes about The Walking Dead (spoilers around the 48-minute mark), Mat shares his Black Ops 2 battle report, and Jett reveals his Rocksmith-related daddy issues. On top of that, we also discuss Wonderbook: Book of Spells, Dead Island, Dead or Alive 5, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy and more!

The Recurring Bosscast: 005 – Bill Clinton in My Bedroom With Handcuffs

Happy holidays from the Bosscast! We use our last episode of the year to reflect on the best, most underrated, and worst games we played in 2012. Jett also enlightens Mat and Jason on Boong-Ga Boong-Ga – an arcade game all about poking people in the bum. Though we didn’t get to go behind the Pacific Mall curtains to play this butt-poking simulator, we do talk about our experiences playing Street Fighter X Megaman, The Walking Dead, Pop’n Music and more!

The Wii U is out, and with it is as large (if somewhat uninspired) launch lineup. A game you should be checking out though is Nintendo Land, which is basically the Wii Sports of the platform. If you’re lucky enough to score a Wii U Deluxe Set, you’ll have this packed in. If not, expect to pay full price for a retail copy. If you’re looking for some thoughts around this important title, check out my review on Splitkick!

The Recurring Bosscast: 002 – PlayPlace Smell

With Halo 4 and Call of Duty: Black Ops II out, we figured now would be the perfect time to cover our collective disinterest in both. To balance things out, Jett interviews his coworker David (aka DG Omega), who is the biggest Halo fan he knows. Besides being too cool for school, Mat fills us in on Skyfall, Jason is nervous about losing his wisdom teeth, and we cover a ton of different games we’ve been playing instead of the big two.

Check Out My Borderlands Legends Review on Splitkick.com!

As a fan of the Borderlands franchise, I jumped into this iOS spin-off with both feet. To my dismay, Legends falls well short of the standards set by its console and PC brethren. If that last sentence isn’t enough to ward you off from spending your hard-earned money on this mediocre action strategy title, check out my full review on Splitkick.
