Pokemon Go is a game that is constantly evolving. What it is today is significantly better than the game that launched in the summer of 2016, there’s still much work to be done. As of writing, we still don’t have trading or PvP, features that were promised well over a year ago. We’ll discuss those another time, but what I really wanted to talk about is the controversial EX Raid system. If you want a shot at catching the infamous Mewtwo, you’re going to have to obtain one, which has proven to be easier said than done for many.

SteamWorld Heist Review

Before the release of SteamWorld Dig 2, Image & Form expanded on the SteamWorld franchise with a 2D turn-based strategy game. SteamWorld Heist is that game. Set in space, you control a team of robot space pirates as they venture through the galaxy, oftentimes finding themselves caught in gunfights within enemy ships. Is this a secret gem in the SteamWorld series?
de Blob Remastered is Headed to the Switch

A cult hit when it was originally debuted on the Wii about a decade ago, de Blob is set to make its triumphant return to a Nintendo platform in 2018! If you’ve never played it before, imagine a game where Splatoon is a pure platformer before Splatoon became a thing. I have a soft spot in my heart for it due to how much I enjoyed it at the time, on top of the fact that it was a diamond in the rough of the Wii library. I picked it up for dirt cheap from a Blockbuster clearance bin and was surprised by how fun it was.
This remaster is already out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One if you can’t wait for a Switch version. Before this announcement, I actually came across this at Walmart and almost bought it. However, I think I’ll hold out on a Switch version if the price differential isn’t too much. Would love to play this on the go. Regardless of which version you’d prefer, I’d certainly recommend giving de Blob a shot!

Want to fight like a Super Saiyan, but you lose more often than Yamcha? Then hopefully you’ve come to the right place! Dragon Ball FighterZ is a frenetic 2D tag-based fighting game that can easily overwhelm players with its anime-quality visuals and combos that can send you careening through mountains. If you’re not prepared, you will quickly end up on the wrong end of an earth-shattering Kamehameha wave. Hopefully this handful of tips will help you push your power level towards 9,000!
First Gameplay Glimpse of Blanka in Street Fighter V
Capcom finally unleashes the green beast as Blanka appears in this debut gameplay trailer. Will be the first to admit that I wish he and his troll play style was left in the past, he doesn’t look like he’s as much of a nuisance this time around. He now gets a command grab, as well as a number of tweaks to give him more combo opportunities, but he doesn’t appear to be as obnoxious in this form. That said, his V-Trigger 2 looks particularly dumb, as he sails around the full screen in ball form.
Blanka will be available as part of the Season 3 DLC offerings on February 20th. I won’t be buying, but I hope Blanka fans rejoice at the better-late-than-never inclusion of this fighter!
The “Is Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Dead?” Live Stream

Version 1.0 of My Dragon Ball FighterZ Squad
A few weeks into Dragon Ball FighterZ, and I’m starting to come to grips with my team. Having played the full cast now at least a little bit, I’ve had a chance to get a feel for fighting like a Saiyan, as well as a sense for what I like and don’t like. There’s still much experimentation to be done, but so far I’ve got a team that I’m really happy with. Until further notice, my main squad is Android 16/Piccolo/Goku!
Shiny Absol and an EX Raid Pass Cap Off A Crazy 24 Hours of Pokemon Go
!!!
Pokemon Go may not be the subject for most of my posts nowadays, but it’s still a game that I play every day on my quest to catch ’em all. It’s been a wild 24 hours, as two of the game’s most prestigious events happen to shake my way.
Dragon Ball FighterZ Review

Hype levels are over 9,000 for Dragon Ball FighterZ. After years of Namco Bandai putting the franchise into casual-friendly 3D fighting games, Goku and friends move to 2.5D with the assistance of the renown fighting game developers at Arc System Works. With their uncanny ability to seamless translate an anime art-style into games, along with their expertise in creating fighters, this is a match made in heaven. Did the final game shape up to be Super Saiyan levels of awesome?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Gameplay Trailer For Injustice 2
The Heroes in a Half Shell make their gameplay debut in this new trailer from NetherRealm Studios. It is awesome to see how they fight as a team, though it opens the door for more questions about how this all works. We should find out soon enough, as the Fighter Pack 3 DLC is out in February.
I regrettably still don’t have a copy of Injustice 2, but this may finally push me over the brink. I need to play this at some point!
