It’s been a bit over a year since I began this journey into the world of live streaming. It has been a very bumpy road filled with technical hiccups, dead air, and a strong sense of doubt for whether I should even pursue this avenue at all. As of last night, select streams will be in service of Extra Life. Best known as an annual 24-hour gaming marathon – taking place this year on Saturday, November 3rd – I will be collecting donations through my streams leading up to the big day. 100% of the proceeds go to the Children’s Miracle Network of Hospitals, who provide 32 million treatments to children each year in the United States and Canada. I generally donate to my local Sick Kids Hospital when I can, but this is an opportunity to use this platform to help raise awareness and provide resources for children that need it most on a scale that I can’t reach alone.
