Haven’t bought more copies of Street Fighter II in my lifetime than I’d like to admit, Capcom is clawing at my wallet yet again. This time, the Super NES version of this classic returns in a playable cartridge. Along with the other goodies that come with the package, this limited release will run you $100.

Super NES Classic Pre-Orders Rolling Out Across North America and it’s Been a Mess

Remember when Nintendo said that they would be making significantly more Super NES Classic Edition consoles than its NES counterpart? Sure didn’t look like it during this first round of North American pre-orders. Starting as early as 1am EST with Best Buy in the United States, pre-orders began rolling out and selling out just as fast as they arrived. Heck, during my attempt to snag one, it sold out in two minutes. You do not have to search that far on the internet to find many bitter customers who came up short when trying to snag Nintendo’s latest retro console.

The Success of Ultra Street Fighter II

Despite concerns from gamers and reviewers that Ultra Street Fighter II was overpriced relative to similar ports on other platforms, Capcom has announced that the game is a “smash hit”. Having sold 450,000 units physically, this game appears to be performing well above Capcom’s expectations. So much so that they’ve committed to bringing more of their software to the Nintendo Switch.

ARMS Makes a Strong Sales Debut

Nintendo’s oddball fighter proved to be a heavyweight at retailers worldwide. First, it debuted at #2 on the U.K. charts, only behind an on promotion Horizon Zero Dawn. Then, its debut in Japan almost outsold the debuts of Tekken 7 and Street Fighter V combined. Most recently, NPD data shows that ARMS performed extremely well in the US, reaching #5 with 256,000 units sold physically and digitally. For a game that left many of us scratching our heads when upon its reveal in January, ARMS has become a hit.

Out Now: Splatoon 2

Years after shocking the world with a spectacular debut on the Wii U, the Inklings are back with Splatoon 2 on the Nintendo Switch! This one seems to feature more of everything you love, with a few big new additions, such as a horde mode and a beefier single player campaign.

I enjoyed the original a great deal, but for some reason it fell out of my rotation fairly quickly. This time around, I hope to play a lot more of it. My copy is in the mail and hopefully it will arrive later today. Are you picking this one up today as well?

The Super Nintendo Classic Edition is Happening!

Gaming Chair Get!

For years, I have punished my body by sitting on a worn out office chair when I game. The butt cushion flattened out years ago, as did the additional cushion I bought as a stopgap fix.

My cheap and stubborn self probably would have stuck with that crappy chair forever. Thankfully, my wife recently gifted me this awesome gaming chair. It’s a sexy-looking chair with great cushioning and arm rests that flip up for when I need extra elbow room for fighting games. Thank you love!

I know that this style of gaming chair is hot right now, but whatever you’re sitting on when you game, make sure it’s comfortable! For all the time you spend sitting down in front of a television, you should take care of your body and feel good while you’re at it.

Coming Soon: The Super Nintendo Classic Mini?

Eurogamer reports that a mini SNES in the style of the NES Classic is coming later this year. They also note that this is part of the reason why the NES Classic Mini is being discontinued, as to make way in the production line for this new micro console.

Coming Soon: Puyo Puyo Tetris on the Nintendo Switch

In just a few days – April 25th to be exact, Puyo Puyo Tetris will hit store shelves for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Having played the Japanese PlayStation 4 version for a few months now, I can tell you that it’s a good game. Personally, I thought that the Switch version would be a home run, as the portable nature of the platform made it seem like a perfect fit. Right now, I’m not so sure I’m ready to jump in.

Nintendo Discontinues the NES Classic Edition

In a stunning turn of events, Nintendo’s hard-to-find mini console is going to be even tougher to track down in light of Nintendo discontinuing the NES Classic Edition. In light of the high consumer demand that persists for the console to this day, this is a really bad look for Nintendo and a huge loss for those still trying to get one.
